Network modernisation and renewal in Hrnčíře

Last year, there was a change of main provider of internet services in the Šeberov municipal district. The network was transferred from the original provider, T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. (formerly Planet A, a.s.), to our company.

In the local newsletter we said at the time that we would continue to develop the existing infrastructure. This is now happening. It mainly concerns the part of Hrnčíře, where the first phase of network modernisation and renewal has begun. During the winter period our staff mapped the network we had taken over, carried out survey and preparatory probes, and the actual excavation work is now getting under way. 

Some of you will certainly have noticed the letters in your letterboxes, which give basic information about the ÚVT Internet network, the services we offer, their prices and contact details. 

If you are interested in a connection, please contact us and arrange a local technical survey to find out what connection options are available for your property. Our technicians are professionals and will answer all your questions.  The connection on municipal land up to the edge of your plot is handled entirely by our company. Connections and cabling on private land are arranged individually, depending on the situation, and are paid for directly to our company by the property owner. 

While the excavation work is under way in the area and our staff and equipment are here, we are offering discounted prices for connections.  Anyone who decides later (say, in half a year's time) may end up paying more for their connection, as our equipment and staff will have to travel out individually for each case. The municipal district strongly recommends that, if it is technically and financially feasible for the property owner now, the building be connected straight away. 

Work will continue in stages according to the agreed schedule. It started at the beginning of March in the streets V Úhoru, Za Šmatlíkem and V Březí. All work there has now been completed. It then moved on to Osvětová street, followed by Loucká, V Záhybu and Rojická streets.

The second construction phase is planned to start on 1 June 2023 and covers U Školky, K Safině and Lipenská streets. The third and fourth phases should then start in August and in the autumn of this year, respectively. The start dates for the following phases are approximate and may change depending on how construction progresses.
