The future of the internet network in Šeberov and Hrnčíře
31. 1. 2023
From 1 December, the provider of telecommunications services (internet, television, telephone) in the Šeberov and Hrnčíře area changed. The original provider, T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. (formerly Planet A, a.s.), decided it no longer wished to operate the network, and for that reason the network was transferred to the ownership of ÚVT Internet s.r.o. from Jesenice. For users of these services, practically nothing changes, but what happens next?
T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. acquired ownership of the network in Hrnčíře and Šeberov through the acquisition of Planet A, a.s. in 2019. It has operated the network since then, up until this November, when an agreement was reached with ÚVT Internet s.r.o. The main reason for transferring the network was the technical support of the particular technology used to provide the internet connection, which T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. is currently no longer able to operate. “We decided to take over the T-Mobile customers mainly because we want to continue developing our network in this area.”, says Petr Dvořák, co-owner of ÚVT Internet. "We already have the largest fibre network in the surrounding area, and we would be happy to continue building it further.", Dvořák adds.
ÚVT Internet s.r.o. has been active in the telecommunications services market for more than 20 years, and so has considerable experience in providing telecommunications services. Locally, it focuses on Central Bohemia and Prague. However, thanks to its cooperation with the partner network CETIN a.s., it is able to provide its services throughout the Czech Republic.
ÚVT Internet is based in Jesenice and is among the most widely used providers in households in the Prague-West area. Expanding to the Šeberov and Hrnčíře localities therefore makes sense. In the coming years ÚVT Internet plans to invest more in this area and bring optical internet connections here. Optical connections are certainly the most promising way of providing internet for the future.
Until then, however, nothing changes for customers, and services will be provided to the extent they are used to. At the same time, they can rely on very high-quality and accessible customer support, which is also closer to customers than ever before thanks to the location of the company's head office.
