About Jíloviště

The village of Jíloviště is located in Prague-West district, Central Bohemian Region, at the northern end of the Brdy Hřebeny ridge. The original village was founded in the 14th century by the Zbraslav monastery, and its history was interrupted twice by destruction. In 1875–1920 the village of Jíloviště was joined to neighbouring Trnová. Most of the municipality's area is forest on the slopes of the ridge towards the Berounka and the Vltava; the village itself is not large. 633 people live here.
